Dante's Inferno is a narrative poem recalling the journey of Dante into the layers of Hell. The Inferno is a part of Dante's Divine Comedy. This collection is based on the first four layers Dante visits; Limbo, Lust, Gluttony, and Greed. The samples are a take on the written descriptions of the layers.
Kawaii Kei in Japanese means "cute style". This knit sample collection is based off of this popular Japanese style. The style is composed of an overload of colors and textures as well as girly details. The aesthetic of the style is all about color and cuteness.
Momento Mori is the idea of death being ever present and at the end of the day; we are all mortal. The feeling of both treasuring death and accepting it is present in Momento Mori aesthetics. This was important for this collection to evoke both darkness as well as light.
Savannah, Georgia is one of the most beautiful cities in America. Savannah has a feeling of old Southern charm. This collection is based on a photograph of Savannah's Bonaventure Cemetery at sunset. The Spanish moss and light playing off of each other so beautifully.
Microscopic images of dyed cells evoke a psychedelic feeling. The aesthetic of the samples is very vibrant and geometric to evoke psychedelic art.
The Swiss Alps are amazingly beautiful particularly in changing the perspective and scale of the Earth. This collection is based on a photograph that encompasses this perspective. The fabric is meant to evoke the color and feeling of the photo with solely striping and tuck stitches.
